Recently, the City of Encinitas has officially rolled out the Senior Citizen Activity Assistance Program—a vital initiative designed to help our local seniors stay active, creative, and connected.
The Power of Community: Our $10,000 Match
This program is personal for us. Through our recent Senior Scholarship Match Challenge, our incredible donors stepped up to raise $10,000 specifically to bolster this fund. Because of your generosity, we are able to support the City in ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of a senior taking a fitness class, picking up a paintbrush, or joining a music circle.
How the Program Works
The Senior Citizen Activity Assistance Program offers eligible residents aged 60+ a 50% discount on Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts (PRCA) program fees, up to $300 per fiscal year.
Whether it’s a yoga session at the Community and Senior Center or an art workshop at Pacific View, this program makes it possible for more neighbors to enjoy the experiences that make life in Encinitas so vibrant.
