Lights, Camera, Community: Join Your Neighbors for Movie Night at Glen Park!
One of the best things about living in Encinitas is our vibrant outdoor culture. Whether it’s a morning at the beach or an evening in one of our local parks, these shared spaces are what make our community feel like home.
This Saturday, May 2, 2026, the City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is hosting a neighborhood favorite: Movie Night at Glen Park! The Encinitas Project is excited to see our local parks being utilized for such a fantastic family event.

Festivities: Pre-movie activities begin at 6:30 PM. Enjoy movie-inspired crafts, outdoor games, and community vibes.
Movie Starts: At Dusk featuring Surf’s Up!
Cost: Free!

Arrive Early: Glen Park is currently getting some great ADA improvements to the parking lot and walkways. Parking may be a bit more limited than usual, so give yourself extra time to find a spot!
Picnics Welcome: Pack a dinner or grab takeout from your favorite local Cardiff restaurant to enjoy on the grass.
Stay Warm: It can get chilly once the sun goes down, so layer up!
Our mission is to advocate for the parks, arts, and recreation programs that define the “Encinitas Way.” By highlighting city-run events like Movie Night, we hope to encourage everyone to get out, enjoy our public spaces, and stay connected with the recreational heart of our town.
